Yes, I do agree with your statement about “The Kite Runner”, sometimes it was overwhelming with all the things which happened, and yes, still it stayed incredible

Thanks! It is hard to top Memento. If this book hadn’t gone into everything else and simply stuck to the memory loss aspect of the story, then you’re definitely right, it would pale in comparison. What does it for me is the world he enters, not so much the amnesia.

I would definitely like to see a movie version made.

I didn’t like this book quite as much as you did, but it was interesting, I’ll give you that. I thought Memento did it better, but then maybe a movie version of The Shark Texts would work better visually.
Good review though….very thorough.
