Thanks for stopping by The Eighth Art. My name is DJ. I started this blog not too long ago because I missed this sort of writing. Maintaining this blog also lets me ignore the essays and screenplays that I am supposed to be writing without feeling to badly about it. I’ll be posting mainly about film, books, and culture, with a few random thoughts shoved in here and there.
If you’re wondering about the name of the blog, well, it’s from a quote by Sergei Eisenstein. He’s the guy in the picture. I posted a bit about it here.
All right, so a few things about me:
- I am love good movies, books, coffee, cigars and my cat Max.
- I’m very happily married to my beautiful wife, Anna.
- I tend to count my steps while walking to and from the train.
- I don’t like eggs.
